This article is number 100 on The Sunny Way, and we couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished so far, nor more excited to see what unfolds in the future. For anyone who may be new to the site, I wanted to take a step back today and encapsulate our mission, and also invite your contributions and ideas.

The Sunny Way is a radically optimistic website whose mission is to bring the possibility of a magnificent future alive in our readers, and to awaken responsibility for creating it. Our goal is create a new conversation around the future of humanity—one focused on optimism and responsibility instead of OMG, things suck! But what can we do about it? *Shrug, consume.*

Currently covered topics include ...
... Personal experiments and group challenges: We try on new ways of living and share our struggles and successes.
... Thought pieces: Where is our thinking wrong? What is a more accurate way of looking at the world and our place in it?
... Profiles: People and projects who are creating the new world we all want to see.

Our efforts to build a magnificent future will be more successful when we have many voices interacting and many ideas being tossed around, so we are always looking to expand our writer base. We especially want to include perspectives that fall outside of traditional “environmentalism”—religious believers, political conservatives, businesspeople, sports fans, anyone who wants to improve the natural and social environments.

Creating a workable future isn’t just a project for liberals or treehuggers—it’s a project for every human being on the planet. So please comment, send us your ideas, or contact us about contributing posts to the site.

The internet abounds with tips and tricks on “going green.” We are trying to create something a bit different—we want to plant the seeds of a bright green future as far and wide as we can.

So much environmental discussion centers on what isn’t possible and what we can’t have, but the fact is, the future has yet to be written—we get to decide how it unfolds! We at The Sunny Way believe that the future can be an improvement on the world we have today in every possible way—and we are committed to building it.
